A Wave of Generosity for World Water Day
World Water Day raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water ! A core focus of this day is to support the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) : Water and Sanitation for all by 2030.
As NGO’s, public and private sector organizations work tirelessly towards meeting those goals, it becomes clear that many are well out of reach if we tackle each in isolation. It is also clear that access to water, sanitation, and hygiene is essential to improving human health, achieving gender equality and equitable access to education, tackling climate change, and redressing the inequities that affect indigenous communities in Canada and worldwide.
At the One Drop Foundation, we believe that water, art, and the emotions they trigger are crucial components of sustainable change. Through our Social Art for Behaviour ChangeTM approach, we help create the conditions for community empowerment and upskilling, which translates into both measurable impact and a brighter future.
